Heavenly Sword: The short film

I’m looking forward to see this project come to fruition. Heavenly Sword for the Playstation 3 is one of my favorite games. I’m slightly disappointed that this short film won’t be about Nariko, the heroine of Heavenly Sword but will revolve around Kai, Nariko’s best friend; the Robin of sorts of the game.

The short film will be produced by Ion Studios in the UK. Here’s the co-director’s synopsis:

“the film centers around Kai, the new Guardian of the Heavenly Sword. After the death of her father and the disbanding of their Clan, the Legend of the Sword gained the interest of malevolent Warlords in search for the key to dominating the world. Knowing it may cost her life, Kai swears to protect the sword and does what she can to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

More details and hints reguarding the story will be revealed as the Production heats up.”
